Yes known (whether people remember they know is another story ), also available through Yorkshire Bank. You have to apply over the phone or in branch. Get yourself a cup of something if taking the phone route as can take 30 mins or so. Some people on other forums have reported being able to open multiple (6 has been mentioned) but you need an account to switch and a credit score that can take the applications.
