Was going to get Honey in Asda but completely forgot so thought I'd pick some up in Morries.

There was a stack of the huge 680g Rowse Honey on an end by the jams and marmalades but had this signage underneath them. The signage clearly states 380g for £2.50 and yet the size bottles was 680g. I thought I'd buy 2 to see what they scanned at - result £2.50 :D.

Now these aren't showing for me on Morries online or on MSM and are £4 in A and T. Savvy have you seen these?

:hello: Firstly, I'm sorry (I'm sure I'd be told I have no need to be) that I have posted a lot of just waffling on, mainly about Sains. and Morr, without saying much of use recently. I think you were talking about the enigma, that is me:D, yesterday but need to go and catch up with what you actually said!

Back from M, and yes I have seen this label. I then saw the 340ml Rowse Honey and thought that was better price per unit, even though it's price seemed quite high, had a points offer on it and I wonder whether it is cheaper elsewhere. Was going to have to check that and crunch the numbers, then default to the A CBY Clear/Set Honey if not better than that. Now I find the 380g are 680g:D (I assume you mean 2 at £2.50 each, therefore total £5?) and having to crunch the numbers again:rotfl::rotfl:. I'll be taking that into account. I didn't get the jars out and double-check those as I didn't suspect anything - thank you for scanning them for me:D(:rotfl:) - I had to make do with a quick look at what the SEL said - you'll understand with the amount of items that I'm checking...

Thanks; I'll factor it in (when I reach it, eventually:rotfl::rotfl:).

Apart from the above, maybe,:rotfl: there's not much change in M, thank goodness!:D

Guess what should suddenly turn up today? Yes, the Diced Swede 500g and back still at 49p:rotfl:. Meanwhile, the whole Swede (min. 500g:D) is now straight 69p, apparently. I believe the 3 for £1.50 offer is totally off now - the Brussels Sprouts and 1.2Kg Carrots have come out of it, the Sprout Stalks have probably gone, and the Savoy Cabbage isn't on the mbuy anymore. I found the Swede still had a "3 for £1.50 mix and match" SEL up in my second store but I doubt it (I've only done two today, as the 'discrepancies'/'inconsistencies' were not great enough, such that I can 'read between the lines' and make a good guess as to what the prices now are).

It seems they are playing with me on the Sugarsnap Peas. They apparently ended on 2 for £1.49 offer last week and went to straight 'everyday price':(, then on Monday they were back on 2 for £1.49 once more. Today,:rotfl:it appears they are either 'everyday price' once again:( or have maybe gone completely OOS:mad::mad::rotfl:. It seems they are on everyday price as the Runner Beans and rest of the stuff that was showing 2 for £1.49 on Monday is now no longer showing that in either of the stores I saw.

Meanwhile, guess what were £2 on Monday but appear to be back at £1 again? Yes, the Nestle 4 pack desserts:rotfl:. Now on "Special Purchase" and back at £1 "Whilst stocks last" in my first store. In my second store, they still have them up high on the shelf with £2 SELs (but they have had those SELs all throughout when they were £1 and had some stock in the same store, with the £1 price showing, on the gondola end). Now no longer any stock on the gondola. However, I've concluded they are £1 because :rotfl:these 4 pack desserts have been brought back down from the shelf and some stock now also put on the lower shelves on the opposite end of the store where they have the £1.19 SEL on the 2 pack desserts but no 2 pack in stock just these 4 pack ones:rotfl::rotfl:. If the 4 pack is where the 2 pack £1.19 SELs are, that means the 4 packs are £1 once more, although hence the confusion as to why the APG picked up £1.19 on at least one occasion. I think the new position, from today's collection, has to be careful on the APG as they may return N/A or they may compare to £1.

I'm removing the Maynard's Discovery Patch bags, even though they are showing 76p for M on msm.co.uk, because both my stores today had all three of them at £1.52 each. I've only ever seen the 76p offer price in one M store over the last two weeks and that is one out of six - all five other stores I have seen have full price. I don't think they are changing the SELs or showing the offer price in many of my Ms. 76p is not best price anyway and, because of the issues I have had with these items in five out of six stores, I don't think they will work on the APG. They are £1 in T, but that's no good compared to previous offer price there some time ago (£1.52 for 3).

The BBQ Relish (320g) in M has gone down to 39p, which I think is a good price. To think that I felt that normal 65p was good on that - I've had them, at 65p:eek:, on my list for several weeks:(:rotfl:.

The SP Wrapping Foil equivalent is still 75p in this new store, so I think that 48p price that I got from just one store (out of three) on Monday was store-specific. If you can find it in your M at 48p, then maybe buy it there (do *not* buy it on an Mvs A comp. shop of course). If anyone who has it in their M with 75p on the SEL happens to scan it and find it's 48p then please let me know and I'll add it onto the APG list. For now, I'm treating it as store-specific and therefore highly likely not going to work on the APG. I can't go behind the SEL on this occasion.

On Monday, I put a note on the list about the Astonish Deicer trigger, saying that it was hard to find until I find lots in my store today. :rotfl:I found lots in my (first) store today. No SEL there, as usual for the last three weeks. Therefore, I've concluded it is £1 because I found the £1 SEL in my second M, with no stock present there:rotfl::rotfl:! So, I use the SEL but no stock from one store to determine the price on the product in another which has no SEL there:rotfl:.

The Dubbin Neutral Shoe Polish (the one that went down to 65p) now appears to have gone. I no longer find SELs in the majority of the six stores. I last found a SEL on Monday, in only one store but there was no stock there. No stock or SEL elsewhere, and no sign of the product or any SEL today in either of the two stores. I think it's gone.

SP Lemon Curd equivalent - I think that's now gone. It's had no stock or SEL in five of my stores for a while now. It has been diminishing at the remaining store. Found no stock or SEL there today, only the CBY equivalent at usual much higher price than 22p. I think SP Lemon Curd is technically best Avs T only now.

Terry's Choc Orange is 75p:D. So, they were getting you (not literally you;)) to buy three times as much and pay more on each one (3 for '1' £2.99) recently:rotfl::rotfl:. They're now making at attempt at clearing them and have 75p on them.

The points offer on the 2Kg Red Dessert Apples has possibly gone. I now have no showing of any points offer today in the stores. Neither do I have any SELs at all:rotfl:, but they have the label of £1.89 on the product. Possible that there's no "More" points anymore for them and therefore - you should have bought them last week:p. No good now, if without points, as that means they cost more. I'm also concluding the Cobra Zero has no points offer anymore (was 20p on that) so, as it's £2.00, and we hope it would compare, it's maybe onto APG only for the £1.80 net price now. Not that my second store could assist today - it had removed the points offer label last Monday, when it was still up in the next store I tried then. That store not tried today, so I can't confirm properly but, from the way the layout of the promotion fascia appeared in the first store (a new one) today, and it had no points offer there, I think it's likely not to be on anymore. I see no points offer on m.com - if that's correct, then that confirms that aspect is off.

I think the S/P Mixed Vegetables (1kg) won't compare vs M on the APG. The image I had on Monday, of lots of them in this new store, did not quite materialise that way. Instead I found one solitary pack in this store. It will be 75p (:rotfl:no SEL as usual and I've not taken it to the till but it will be). However, there's no sign of the product more widely anymore and I think this will be an N/A return on the APG. I reckon that this would have been N/A three weeks ago, 75p two weeks ago and that it's N/A now. That's my prediction of the APG:rotfl:.

I thought from these two stores the Bird Seed/Sunflower mix was back up to full price. It was showing offer price in one of these stores on Monday. However, it's still showing the lower price on m.com and saying order by 25/01/2015. I'll leave it on the list.

Finally - I got there!:D - or maybe penultimate:(, I had a sneak preview of some small sachet John Frieda and Tresemme items showing at 50p for M on msm last night. There was no marking on m.com to say that these prices were online exclusives, but I did check for them instore. I found the Tresemme product and only the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Hair Repair Sachet in my first store. Both at 50p. (The Tresemme is possibly A 99p vs M 50p, and the others T £2 vs straight 50p, but very risky I feel.) As regards the other JF, it was therefore a query item for the next store. I was in the next store. Just John Frieda Sheer Blonde again, and no Tresemme:rotfl:. So, therefore, useless store - even less range than the first one!() - so I'm ending up relying on m.com/msm for the missing one (I don't even do that most of the time) but, due to the incomplete range in both of my stores, I think this is risky on price comparisons.

Finally (yes, really) I also popped into Aldi on my way to the second M store, to try to find some potatoes. I thought there was a suggestion there were some 2.5kg bags on 49p there, but I think that's probably gone and couldn't find any. I almost did an Aldi price collection:rotfl::rotfl:. Lots of Xmas items on reductions in Aldi (varies by store no doubt) but I did find the following:

    Broccoli 335g M 49p vs Aldi 45p
    White Cabbage M 59p vs Aldi 45p
Iceberg Lettuce, Whole Cucumber and Spring Onions - possibly M 49p vs Aldi 39p. This is pence though and not adding much to a "match and more". But nonetheless it does make me think I'm paying over the odds on the APG! Careful on the Spring Onions as they have a weight on the product in Aldi (100g) but may not do so on the M Spring Onions. There are also 15 Medium Free Range Eggs at £1.25 in Aldi. That's cheaper than the straight 97p prices on 6 elsewhere. The 6 Medium Free Range Eggs in Aldi are 89p, but that's nowhere near as good price per unit as the 15 pack price.

Same thing happened to me the other day with the cheese - I posted on here that it was missing from my APG :( x

Thanks Deb - I must have skimmed over and missed your post. I've been very lucky with my 'shops' though so this is not anything to worry about. I'm more concerned about getting my £12 back for the wipes which scanned at £3 even though they are still £1.50 on the shelf. I did check prices again instore this afternoon - I suppose I could have bought a couple, overpaid and got a refund plus 2 gift cards . I didn't though, I just collared the guy who promised to sort out my refund and showed him that they were wrongly priced on the shelf. He seemed very pleased that I had told him before anyone complained about overcharges so hopefully I've earned a bit of goodwill!
