I had a real wake up call when I took all that make up and toiletries to the women's refuge before Christmas. Was glad to be taking them to a good cause and what I paid didn't reflect the real value.......the real value was :eek:
I took me laying it all out to realise how much there was though

I'll never be cured but I am being more sensible of late :o;)

I'm much more sensible these days.......it's a lot easier when there are only the two of us at home. I waste so little. I have seen Christmases years ago when carriers of food would be thrown out. I would buy stuff without giving any thought to menu planning and there was just too much food to eat.

I now need to start respecting whoopsies. Not buying stuff simply because it costs pennies. I was getting a bit clever....throwing half a loaf of bread out because " well it only cost me 10p" I think that 10p loaf of bread deserves as much respect as a full priced one:rotfl:

So in future I won't be buying 2 tubs of coleslaw for 11p each when we can only eat one, nor will I be buying a bag of lemons just because they are 8p just to watch them go soft.

However I will still buy a trolley load of cheap tomatoes as I will prepare and cook them with love and devotion:smileyhea:smileyhea

I am envious Savvy.......hope you have a wonderfully relaxing day:T

I'll try:( (me thinking I'm going to get called on again:rotfl:).

Just to let you all know about an anomaly in my own criteria for items getting to the list. HM Sugar Puffs 625g will be appearing on the list, as Tvs M at £1.62, although :eek:that price is nearly 26p/100g! Nothing like the prices of £1.24 that we used to see perhaps a year or two ago. £1.62 for 625g is almost as bad as the £2 cereal prices in A (when they have those) that I avoid (26.7p/100g - no good, I go for approx. £1.34 prices (20p/100g or below) not expensive £2 ones. In fact I go for glitch prices:D, but you know what I mean: the regular prices that are 'good enough' to be offers mentioned on a list of mine). Yet Nestle 500g Shreddies are at a better price per unit than the Sugar Puffs - £1.24 on those, but the Shreddies will not be making it to the list.

Did you even make the buttons PD?

Goodness you are clever....whether you made them or not:T

I did indeed, circle plunger cutters :) I'm happy with the cake but it could've been a hell of lot neater. I had to rush to finish it and was a little late for work after :o

I've looked on line and in store and there isn't an awful lot:o.......well not a lot I want ......I've been dipping in and out of the "Not Buying It" thread that hg suggested and it really makes you think.

I picked up 3 bags of spinach in T yesterday for 5p each and realised I would only use one. I put the other 2 back. Waste is waste:o

That's exactly how I feel....no point taking something you won't use.....leave it for someone who will make good use of it...what ever it maybe!:D

I have a healthy stash of most stuff pm but I did get some Sanex the other day as I really like it. I got Pringles too before Christmas but gave most of them away:o:)
