I hope you get your bridge sorted Scamps, and it doesn't cost too much xxWishing you all good luck!

Good morning all...

a fairly uneventful visit to T this morning resulted in a total muggle shop and it seems I cant even count to 10 so no chance of a pp either.
Then went to get petrol only to discover that the petrol station will be closing for a refit for 4 weeks so if I want to use the fuel save ive been building up I will have to go a little off piste to fill up.

Just wanted to make sure husband had a job to go back to, so he is safely tucked up in work and I am like Yaaaaayyyyy
Little miss decided she wants to be here for her birthday so we are going six days after. She wants her first driving lesson on her birthday so got that to organise to.

Morning all, finally got the house empty for an hour so I am settling down with the To Do House admin list, a jug of porridge, walnuts and chopped dates and a mug of hot chocolate - not sure if porridge and chocolate go together so this is an experiment - a need for comfort food.
Youngest son was on staff training over the weekend so he went home on the train and came back again last night - not sure what his plans for the week are, if and when he is setting off up the M6 again - tentative plans for walking in Scotland if he can get organised and the weather holds.
Eldest son is awaiting news of his new car being ready for collection this afternoon. if it isn't I have no idea what will happen as he is on his travels yet again tomorrow.
so by Wednesday the week will have sorted itself out ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Afternoon loves.
I hope the positive news continues for you and fourp Snap.
Went to a wedding party the other side of London last night. Took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to get there  stayed just over an hour then had to leave :rotfl:
What a palaver. Very glad I didn't give up and showed my face.
One of the bride's best friends (who I've really tried to like but it's just not happening) said to me 'thank you so much for coming. WE'RE so grateful you could be here'.
For a moment I thought she had married my friend. Then I remembered why I don't like her. You know some people are a vision of what you could be if all you cared about was ambition and your own hair? That's her.
Still, a lovely party. They had a cheese cake and free prosecco. Lots of smiling happy faces.

Your post made me laugh Emma, it reminded me of so many bridesmaids, and sometimes the bride too. They've clearly made it their life's mission to perfect their hair, nails, make up and spray tans and be terribly superior towards the rest of us. Then they walk down the aisle towards us like cart horses, with no elegance or finesse whatsoever. :rotfl:
Good morning lovely peeps. Sending hugs to the Snap family, nannylala and anyone else who could do with one. A heads up that the wonderful Father Brown returns to the BBC for series 3 at around 2pm this afternoon, daily for the next3 weeks. Wonderful telly to cheer us all up at this most miserable time of the year. Yet again one has to ask oneself why it's not out there one Sunday night, but Sunday's loss is the weekdays' gain. Highly recommended viewing.Hope is not a strategy.0 -
