Hiya everyone and congratulations on your engagements yay!
I've been trying to save as much as possible on the honeymoon,
I wondered if anyone had paid for their honeymoon with their airmiles? I travel a lot with my job and I now have around 70,000 miles with Jet Airways,
and 70, 000 with the Star Alliance group.
Has anyone out there covered all their costs with airmiles? I'd love to know more, I'm so new to all this!
Congratulations again,
Love,
Dolly

Not quite airmiles, but we paid for our honeymoon hotel suite in Lisbon with DH's Holiday Inn points
and I know one of the directors where I work who saves his Hilton points to cover the hotel bill for his family holiday in Florida every other year.

We had 85,000 Virgin Atlantic miles and we got two return flights from Manchester to Orlando, and we had to pay (I think) £217 in taxes each. Availability was limited though, so we had to be flexible with dates.
You'd need to look at the reward programmes for the airlines you've got miles with and see how far they can take you. You'll always have to pay, at the very least, taxes and fuel surcharges.0 -
