Pinterest - want to try but I don't get it!!

Hi guys, I'm looking at expanding the types of comps I do in 2015 so that I can hopefully win something for a change! I do the regular one-off comps and facebook but I've tried twitter and avoid that now because I don't really enjoy or understand it....

I've seen a few comps that mention Pinterest and I've joined but don't really get it (even though there's some kind of tutorial on there lol). So for anyone who's entered comps in this way would you be kind enough to give me some advice? What are you supposed to do and how do you do it? Do most of these types of comps have judged entries or do they do random ones too? And do they ever offer big prizes (TV's, holidays etc) or is it usually smaller types of prizes - the only reason I ask that is because I work full-time and find it hard to find the time - but I definitely need to increase the amount of comps I do if I'm gonna stand a chance of winning I want to be organised ready for January 2015, I'm on a mission to win lol

its basically like scrap booking - putting all your fav things in one place kind of thing

do you ever remember being a kid and cutting things out of a argos catalogue and sticking them all together to create your perfect room or something like that (maybe just me then!! ha!)
its a bit like that a collection of your fav things

there are quite a lot of pinterest comps some are judged and some random

they ask you to create a mood for say a party so youd pick the pictures that youd choose to create that party

or choose a wish list of things from there website and you just put together the ones you like the most kind of thing

bit like moodboard if that makes sense
