Help!! Collar dyed my cat's fur blue!

New collar a couple of weeks ago. Kitty is tabby on top, white underneath, around his neck. Just noticed on the white fur under his chin that the dye has come off the collar!!
Took it off and he has a blue line around his neck. :eek:
I don't *think* he can lick that high up, but I'm worried the dye may be toxic? What can I do? Should I cut that fur away?

Stopped panicking and remembered we have Vetfone with his insurance (NHS Direct for pets). They said it should be fine. We can try washing it off with washing up liquid (that's going to go down well with kitty!).
They said to keep him in and keep an eye on urine output as toxins tend to affect that first in male cats. (Just in case it isn't a non-toxic dye)
Just posting in case anyone has a similar situation in the future (?!).

I'd maybe go for babywipes or a slightly damp flannel to wipe down his neck, probably less likely to object over that.0

FYI, Fairy does not remove collar dye. We now have a grumpy, damp Pops who's still blue. :rotfl:

I'd definitely try baby wipes. Go for the standard Johnson's/supermarket/Pampers type variety (not more eco types) - they're all pretty harsh but you won't be getting it on skin hopefully.0

Thanks! I'll pick some up. The dye is only on his fur - it didn't go through to the skin underneath so no need to go that deep. 0

He is gorgeous! Fur grows out in a few months in my experience. Maybe brush him more regularly under there as it grows out?0
