Good after Christmas markdowns......
Last year boxing day and thereafter I got loads of great supermarket deals all at least over 70% off (luxury nut mixes, biscuit tins, snack food etc.). but this year has been dismal (for me anyway). All the decent stuff I want like, Lindt chocolate, Jacobs crackers, food within there best before date marked as Christmas/ festive celebration, shortbread biscuit tin are all still half price or gone. I have heard of all the great markdown offers on turkey but I have not seen/missed those in my area. The best deal I have had so far this year in reductions is surprisingly by Lidl and this was before Christmas . DELUXE CURED HAM WITH TRUFFEL 100GMS 1.39 FULL PRICE MARKED DOWN TO 34P. (IT HAD THE 30%CHEAPER LABEL AT 0.49P MARKED DOWN TO 0.34P! OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE PUT IN THE WRONG STARTING PRICE HENCE THE 34P AFTER PRICE, AND THE ADDED BONUS WAS I BOUGHT THESE ON THE 23RD OF DECEMBER AND THE BBD WAS THE 27TH DECEMBER!!!! I ended up buying 10 packs and freezing some) even though the price was great this was down to some shop assistants mistake.
So my question is has anyone found any really good deals out there and if so please share.
I also found a good deal on a dyson hoover ( I know its not groceries) but it is the dc58 animal handheld hoover brand new for 179 plus 10 delivery charge which is still pretty good considering most store are still selling it at 229. I am still in the middle of contacting the supplier (for a second time)but via email to verify. as it seems too good to be true but if it is legitimate and you are interested let me know and I will send you the website address.
