I have signed up to two coursera courses. One is for html, ccs and java script, which I did know years ago but have forgotten the syntax for, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard.

The second though is a grammar and punctuation course. I didn't really learn any grammar at school, which is why I struggle sometimes knowing where to put commas etc. Just doing the first lesson in this course though shows me how little I know. I instinctively know it if that makes sense, but I didn't know there are 12 different tenses in English. I thought there were just three. So I think this course, and similar ones, will be worth doing this year. If nothing else it will help keep the grammar geeks from getting upset, so they can focus on the content of what I write, rather than just the bad construction.
