In your android settings there is an option under apps where it says allow phone to run third party apks, tick that so that you can install apps which are not on play store. (If your phone is rooted you may not need to do this)

Then uninstall all your existing SB apps.

Now download and install the 6 apps from the link (I got them from the google drive link as I am not sure how to get the ID for the other website). You just click on each app, download, and when you swipe to notifications it will say xyz downloaded, click on that and it will automatically install.

Thanks that's a better guide than mine!, I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to playing around and hacking android

Login and set your favourites as before.

Make sure all the apps are set not to update in play store.

Thanks - that's a better guide than mine!

  • For those of you who have an Alcatel Onetouch, download the Smart Suite from the Alcatel touch website and install it. The first time you run it, it will also install additional software on the phone itself.

I was able to back up all the Swagbucks apps on my PC. If somebody needs them, let me know where you would want them downloaded and I will upload them and post the link here.

The above mentioned software also installs a stripped down version of Android ADB bridge and also a stripped down version of Java. I will try and experiment on the command line if its possible to make a backup of the configuration files, too, in order to avoid manually importing favourites.

  • For those of you who have updated the apps (especially SBTV), have you tried running it all night and see if it gives additional bucks?
