Here's a question: my husband reckons I should quit swag bucks cos my main income from it is streaming the vids on the iPhone apps.... He thinks they're using more power than I'm making. Any thoughts?

    Saw this a while ago:

    http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2012/09/it-costs-basically-nothing-to-charge-your-phone-for-a-year/

Basically, your husband couldn't be more wrong! Assuming the article is correct, a day of apps should more or less cover a year's worth of charging costs (although I have Android so I think there are more apps, so on iphone it may take two days to recoup your money?).

Has been reported on reddit in the past that some have lost their SB accounts for blocking ads on the apps.... hope your SB username is different to the one you use here

How would they know if you blocked ads?

I will take my chances. Thanks.

A bit of a dumb question here but I'm not very knowledgeable about mobile phones...

...if I were to buy a cheap Android phone for apps (even though they are fatally flawed at the moment) - like the Alcatel that many of you have mentioned at £20 from Argos - would I need a sim even if I only wanted to use it wirelessly just for the apps?

Nope, I use my old phone sim free every day for the apps so you will be fine

No, you don't need a sim, although in that case you'd be better off installing this app:
    https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdcategory=System&fdid=de.mangelow.network&fdpage=6

to shut the phone altogether and extend your battery life.

EDIT: or just dial *#*#INFO#*#* from the phone dialer.
