I apologise if anyone has posted this information elsewhere, but there has been some confusion and uncertainty on the Facebook page about what we can and cannot do with the apps, and unfortunately the UK Rep has not been available for some time to answer any queries. I thought it best, therefore, to ask support directly if it is permitted to run the apps and do other things on the site at the same time. Below is the reply together with my query.
As you can see, my question was very specific so there could be no doubt as to what I was asking.
Here is the reply -
"Hi Paul,
Thanks for contacting me. I'd be happy to answer your questions. You are permitted to run the app and be on the website at the same time.
Although I would not recommend running multiple apps on multiple devices. This can interfere with how you are credited.
If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me any time.
Best,
Anthony B.
Swagbucks.com"
and here is a copy of the query that I asked -
"Good afternoon,
I was wondering if someone could answer a question about the use of the Mobile Apps please (I am not sure if I have addressed the query to the correct department or not).
I am a UK member and as you will be aware the mobile apps (such as Mobile SBTV, EntertaiNow TV Mobile, Lifestylz TV) have recently been made available to us in the UK. There has been discussion and some confusion on the Swagbucks UK Facebook page about using the apps.
We all want to ensure that we are using the apps (which, incidentally, are extremely popular in the UK) correctly and I should be grateful, therefore, if you or someone would kindly answer the following specific question in order that I can post the reply on the Swagbucks UK Facebook page (a number of us have searched the Do''s and Don''ts, blog posts etc but we cannot find an answer to this).
Is it permitted to run the mobile apps on a smartphone or iPhone whilst at the same time undertaking other Swagbucks activities on a desktop or laptop computer? Specifically, is it permitted to have an app running on the phone and at the same time complete a survey, perform searches, run Encrave or view SBTV on the desktop computer, or should we pause or stop the app whilst doing other things on the site?
If you could please clarify the rules regarding this in order that I can inform everyone else on the Swagbucks UK Facebook page I would be extremely grateful.
I look forward to your reply.
Many thanks and kind regards,"Swagbucks joined 5th July 2012 - Earned 2012: Amazon - £300 - 2013: Amazon - £610
