I hadn't noticed because I've almost given up with surveys now. However it doesn't surprise me! I thought it was all very odd when they made all these sudden changes- I think they've fallen out of favour with Toluna for some reason. Maybe another site has got the monopoly now? Clixsense maybe paid more money to feature their surveys?

Do I make money if I keep it in discovery mode? When does it max out?

It cycles through the videos and then at the end it usually rewards you with 3SB and then you will get a box appear for you to keep on craving through a another set or end. How many rounds can vary.
Once the video has started running then use Ctrl & T to pop open a new tab and you wont have to sit there watching them and can carry on. Just check back now and again to ensure its still running or if its finished then to keep craving.

Sound is very low, almost not audible at all.

And, is it 30 seconds minimum per video, as in desktop SBTV?
