Wii Rental

Considering buying a wii for the kids (girl, 8 and boy 4) but just not sure how suitable the games will be.

Does anyone know anywhere that RENTs consoles (as opposed to just games) so we could "try before we buy" ?

Don't know about rentals, sorry. But just wanted to say my sister (aged 20) has bought herself a Wii and my children aged 4 and 6 love it. When they visit her house they play on Big Brain Academy (even 4yr old can do this with a little help as can't read all the words). Monster 4x4 Trucks using a steering wheel that the Wii Remote fits inside. Meet the Robinsons (too hard really for 4yr old) Wii Play and Wii Sports (find these the easiest to play).

They find it really easy to use the controls much easier than a Playstation 2(which hubby has). So much so that Grandma recently bought them one for our house, our 6yr old son is now trying to teach 3yr old sister to bowl on the Wii, lol!

    HTH!

Oh and just thought lots of games are for 3yrs upwards. The little mii's (people you play with) can be made to look like you. Wii Play, Wii Sports, Big Brain Academy are very suitable for children. Although there are adult games too we have stuck with games appropriate for all.

I am getting a Wii for my daughter's 10th birthday next week. I wouldn't usually spend that much but we have all played on one at a friends and loved it!!

I would highly recommend Wii play and Wii sports for children. Happy feet was rubbish!
