    ***May Update***

Month went above expectation again so making good progress. Just missed out on winning a trip to play at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, but with 2 young children not sleeping well that might be for the best, always next year!

Can't complain as had my best month yet on the cash tables, with a good session yesterday nudging me over the £2k mark. Likely to see a drop off in profits for the next few months as summer tends to be tougher but already well ahead of schedule so wont worry too much

Still saving steadily from wages, althogh this has been dented a bit by car servicing and buying a replacement oil cap after I forgot to put it back when topping up the oil - fortunately although the engine was coated in oil the car didn't catch fire! Car was due for service the next day so got engine cleaned by the garage and no damage!

Hopefully keep close to the pace this month. Good luck all for June

    ***May Summary***

    Poker Profit: £2150
    Wages Saved: £700
    Regular Saver: £300

    May Overpayment: £2850
    Regular Saver Total: £1500

    Mortgage Outstanding: £108,585

    ***June Update***

At the halfway point in the year, and something of a slowdown this month, had a short break with the family which dented the savings a bit, plus the summer slowdown has finally caught up with me at the poker tables, so profits have dropped there, however still in the black so can't complain!

Still on target to get to 100K by Christmas - although the next 2 months will likely be slow poker wise, things should pick up towards the autumn. With that in mind am hoping to hit a £1K overpayment again next month, anything over that will be a bonus!

    Good luck all for July

    ***July Update***

Another month gone by, average month this time and a decent overpayment clocked up. Also managed to gain entry to a big poker tournament in Nottingham at the end of the month for free, so chance of a big score, although it's likely I'll win nowt. Should be good fun and a chance to meet a few celebs / big name UK poker players.

Mortgage wise still hoping to hit 100k by Xmas, currently weighing up whether to swap to a fixed rate, one plan is to fix for 2 or 3 years and get a 10 year term so still overpaying, and them save as much as possible for a big lump sum payment at end of fixed term - anyone else considering fixing?

    Good luck all for August

    Mortgage Outstanding: £105,288
