Media search for wins. What do you use

Hi
Not new to comping but new to the Chat Corner.
I was wondering what was the best way to search for wins.
What do people use as social searcher never finds wins I know about already so not much faith.
I have kept a file of advents entered but unsure how to find wins, if any, as links do not take you to announcement of winners.

Also How do I search for comps to enter by end dating? I saw a link a while back but unfortunately I can;t find it again and should have saved it.

My only advent win was a Higgidy pie but RL has kept me limited to comping this month.

TIA

hi, not sure what link you saw for how to search for comps ending,
but the compers guide has this..

You can change the Forum thread order to sort posts by end date. Simply go to the bottom of any Forum page & on the left hand side is ‘Display Options’. Click on the ‘Sorted By’ dropdown & then select Thread Title. All 200 odd pages are now listed in Thread Title order.

Each thread will now be listed by the ending date used in the thread title. This means that the threads which end on a particular date will be grouped together - you will just need to find out which page they start from & then you are ready to enter comps for a particular end date.

WARNING: If you are entering comps on the day or even the day before they end you run the risk that perhaps the comp has closed a little early & your entry won't be counted. Another thing to bear in mind is that the Board Guides volunteer hours of their time to keep these boards clear & running smoothly so sometimes comps which are ending today or perhaps tomorrow (in rare cases) may be moved to Game Over a little early - this is a task which has to fit around their real lives & also when they have some spare 'online' time.

Not sure where I found it, but here are the links I work from - from my own Word document I use for comping:

    Standard view/200 posts
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...&page=1&pp=200

    End Date/200 per page
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...rune=-1&pp=200

Edit: Ps, you can change the "200" at the end of the url to make it any number you like, I think.
