Applied for halifax DIP

Just a quick one.

I have applied for a DIP from halifax online. And i was expecting a decision (yes or no) immediatley. But i got an email saying

Thank you for requesting a Mortgage Promise with Halifax.

Your reference number is *******, please keep this safe in case you need to contact us.

We'll be in contact shortly to advise you of our lending decision and to confirm next steps. Our preferred method of contact to advise you of the outcome of your application is email. However, we may also try to contact you via phone or post.

Im sure i have read on here that they had decisions instantly. Im worried now. Has anyone here had experience with applying for a DIP online with halifax???

Their system may not be up, or they have refered you for further checks
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • So its usualy an instant reply? This allways happens to me.

Some of the process may require human intervention. ;)
