Claim for missold house insurance ?

Hi,
I'm new to posting but hope there is someone who can answer this question as I've tried googling it with no success.

When we took out our first mortgage with Alliance and Leicester, we were told that we had to take their recommended house insurance in order to qualify for the mortgage.
I'm sure this is now regarded as misselling but wondered if anyone else had had this experience and claimed.

What you were 'told' is irrelevant.

Do you have anything in writing to prove it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • I've still got all the documentation but I doubt that there is any evidence that A&L insisted on us buying their insurance.

    its not

And that very well may have been the requirement at the time. Nothing wrong with that.

This isnt mis-selling. You are clutching at straws as buildings insurance is compulsory.
