Hi can someone please help me
I am about to apply for a halifax AIP.
But on my experian file its showing i have a credit card that is maxed out. I have paid this off and waiting for experian to update their records on me.
I understand AIP is a soft search, but does a soft search indiacte how much debt i have on that card. Or is a soft search pull up missed payments etc.
I want to complete this AIP today. Help needed

If that's the case you're best off going into a branch and seeing an advisor for an AIP as you can then take evidence that it has been paid off.0

Or you could just put on the AIP you have that credit card but it will be paid off before completion.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Will it bring my credit score down (halifax's credit score) having this existing debt. Or by stating the debt will be cleared gives me a better chance?0

Its going to pick it up at some point or another anyway. An AIP is worthless so dont worry about it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks for your advice. Appreciate it. I have submitted halifax AIP today stating that the credit card will be cleared before full application. Does anyone no halifax timescale on waiting for decision for AIP?0
