Helix Piercing - where to get good quality jewellery?

Hello :)

I got my helix pierced a few months ago (not ready to change bar yet) but was having a look for earrings for when I can change it - and I can't seem to find any good quality (preferably titanium) earrings for it.

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks :)

  • You'll get the best prices on eBay, quality will be the same from most places.

Thanks for your reply - I've had a look on ebay but the prices seem too good for them to be good if that makes sense! (I am sensitive to some earrings) - but I don't know what the 'average' price for this type of jewellery is! :)

Try a tattoo place where they do the piercing. My local one keeps a huge range of jewellery.

Think that's what I'll do - the place I got it done had a lot of little coloured balls to screw on to the bar but didn't seem to have anything fancier.

My daughter had a bar in at first but got a horseshoe ring from Claires which she wears now. It's silver with little screw on balls. I think it's a nose ring really but it fits fine, she's not had any problems with it.

They're not too good I promise you. I buy wholesale plugs from a UK supplier and they are CHEAP to buy in. The tattoo shops make a killing on them. Eg I buy a pair of plugs in for £1.50, I sell them for £6... a tattoo shop would ask for £12.

I'm also sensitive to cheap metal, I've got multiple piercings, some in VERY sensitive places and have always bought off eBay. Just check their feedback. I can only wear titanium in my lip and I can buy replacement jewellery for as little as £3 inc postage. That'd be £8-10 in a piercing/tattoo shop.

Thanks so much for this - I've seen some really pretty ones on ebay but it was the price putting me off - going ahead and buying now! I'm wanting titanium so thanks for confirming you can get actually it at that price :)
