Hi & Happy Boxing Day!
I opened a jar of mango chutney a couple of days ago and threw away the jar but I have rather a lot left over. Other than have it with a curry and possibly on a cheese board, what else could I do with it?
Thanks

I freeze it in dollops on a baking sheet and then tip into a bag as I don't use it very often these days and it is such a waste otherwise.0

I use it in a slow cooked sausage in onion gravy receipe.
Fry some sausages until they start to brown. Put into a slowcooker on high. Fry a chopped onion for a couple of minutes then stir in 2 tablespoons of plan flour and stir whilst cooking for a couple of minutes. Then slowly stir in 8-10 fl ounces of water and bring to the boil. Add a chicken/vegetable stock cube or stock pot, then stir in 2 tablespoons of mango chutney and 2 tablespoons of lea & Perrin sauce. Pour the gravy over the sausages in the slow cooker, turn down to low and cook for 4-5 hours. Yummy.Make £2025 in 2025

A few dollops with some curry powder, mayo/yogurt and anything else you have handy will turn it into into a nice coronation turkey dressing.***Mortgage Free Oct 2018 - Debt Free again (after detour) June 2022***

Bizarrely I find mango chutney goes amazingly well with ham in sandwiches. Better than most familiar condiments IMO.0

You can make really nice little pasties with puff pastry, filled with a little bit of brie and a small spoonful of mango chutney - they're great for parties and nibbles.0
