The Compers Inn (part 45)

Afternoon everyone had a busy day here. Had hospital appointment this morning then took DIL out for birthday lunch. Only back home about an hour. It is raining here but really cold again today so wont be venturing out again in a hurry. You have got some good short break bargains shiels. Sylvia sounds like your pump has gone it is a ten minute job for engineer so he shouldn't be with you long. I actually fitted a new pump myself to my last machine as watched engineer do it previously and was charged a fortune. Pump was about £10 at the time so saved a load of money. It is their time you are mostly paying for.0

Hope you manage to sort out your washing machine Sylvia. Lucky for you that you kept up with the guarantee
Richmond is nice too Sheils, I used to go Richmond waterfalls when I was younger. I don't recall going to Bowes either!
Yeah it's been non stop news about the red doors indicating where asylum seekers are. The funny thing is, I never realised this until I saw it on the news! The majority of the town residents are students and Muslim community and there are lots of different colour front doors!
It was all frosty here too today fire**fly, AlfieThe spiders cobwebs looks lovely glistening outside.
Hope SIL had a lovely bday Rose xx
Thanks everyone ...re-brother, he has burst blood vessels through trying to cough and he has had to come off warfarin as it would have killed him. His stomach looks awful, it's badly swollen and the full left side is black with bruising. His dr thinks he either has leaks coming from his stomach but they are worried it might from when he had an aorta repair years ago. Hope not as that was a very risky op.
Got my red lipstick freebie in from FB thanks Becks/Sheils/Sylvia :T I know I got tags from you all
Hubby is now snoring very loud on the sofa and I'm trying to watch the chase!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Goodness wingo your brother really is going through it as I said earlier. I have everything crossed for him that he recovers soon. NHS is fabulous these days even although we all have a moan about it now and again. Shiels appointment went fine this morning and DIL and I had a good natter and a fab Italian lunch so she was happy with it and loved her pressie that I sent up with son yesterday. I thought the Raith interchange was finished beginning of last month but I will check for you.0

Back again shiels yes the Interchange is open again as I thought the underpass they were building is completed. When I had sons car always took the old roads because I knew of the closure and diversions. It is really frustrating when you are driving and don't know the alternatives when a road is closed. I have lived in the area all my life so can do it with ease and it wont bother me. But there was a lot of complaints when they did close it as it was putting quite a lot of time on the journey of people going to work. So you can tell hubby you can book Holiday Inn again lol.0

That's a shame that Branto have gone under, we have one near us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your Brother Wingo, hope they can sort things quickly.
Rose when I won the washing machine 3 years ago it took nearly 3 months to come so they gave extended my warranty to 5 years so covered until 2018.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Thanks rose. TV is still showing problems there - DH studies all routes before going anywhere. I used to spend bit of time at Burnbank as grandparents lived there but mainly knew the trains and buses not the back roads. Won't be coming up until April anyway. (unless find real bargain in the points offers!)
Shame about Brantano Sylvia, but I could never find a bargain in them. Always thought they were expensive although they said they were bargain shoe shopMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Sylvia I hate it when washing machine breaks down. Hope it's fixed soon. My dear romantic husband bought us a new one and a new dishwasher for our fortieth anniversary!
Foxes sound is loud and very disturbing. Hope you get some good nights sleep Fire Fly.
Sheils you seem to have booked some bargains again. Hope you enjoy.
Well we were out all day and came home to find an envelope that should have been signed for but was with other post.
Wow I've won £100 of Love2shop vouchers from Take aBreak Arrowwords competition. Just going to thank poster.0 -
Like you shiels never found a bargain there think the only thing I bought from there shop was wellies for the kids. Although ours seemed to have hundreds of shoes etc (big shop on estate with the likes of Argos and DIY stores etc) they were not aimed at me lol. Think they were for younger shoppers. Can't be doing with strappy shoes and 6 inch heeels these days. Well done on win leanfun enjoy spending the vouchers.0
