    Hi all

Well done to Sylvia and Indie for recent wins.

I too found a Wem this afternoon. Tickets to a special viewing of Far From the Madding Crowd on 30th April. I'd love to go but DD2 is expecting on 27th and we will be off down there to help when we are called. My sister in law has said she would love to go so passing it on.

I entered this comp for the first prize ho ho.never expected to win anything for ages after last month's win.

Great everyone is fine including Katie. So admire you, you have support around you but also do so much for yourself. The sun is helpful but finding something that lifts one is great. I find walking helps to lift me a lot.
We had a few days away and enjoyed the sun and managed to get a few walks in. DH and I had a very good rest.
Loved Sheils photos looked as though you had a good time in spite of weather.
    Thanks for all the pics.

Hope to spread some fairy dust for all on here for next week.

Wingobins. June 11th was one of DH's sister's birthday. So a special day for us too. I think you must be very special to do this for your brother.

Felt really sad reading about your DD1and her problems at school. Do hope something really positive comes from your meeting with the school. I think you wrote earlier that she will be in college soon. I feel sure this will be better for her. It's great that she has your support at home.

    :hello: Everyone,

hope all is well,I am fine today :) I have been so busy this weekend, yesterday I went to a 1940s Roadshow for a look around and then to a RNLI book sale where I had a cup of tea and piece of cake :) it was nice, then I came home, had tea then took myself off to Karaoke,I had a lovely time and saw my friends.Yesterday a friend who is staff at Waitrose asked me what I liked about Waitrose for their AGM so gave a nice compliement to all Waitrose Partners as they considered me to be their Loyal customer and they filmed me talking on their ipad.

Today I went to my parents for lunch,I have hurt my knee slightly so limping at the moment but it should be better soon as I am walking on it to make it better.

I am off to Karaoke this evening :)

    love and light,

Lovely pics everyone :) I love the cute hedgehogs fire**fly :A I didn't think hedgehogs would be still around, I thought they hibernated or something!

Sheils hope it's better news for you tomorrow regarding your ear xx Then hopefully you can get that hol abroad booked! :)

Katie, that was nice of waitrose to think of you in that way as a loyal customer :) Hope the knee is better soon xx

Good luck getting your son to help with garden Sylvia :) Enjoy your week with him :)

Aw that's a shame leanfun that you can't make it to your prize win. I'm sure your sis will love it and at least you will get to see your new GC soon :) family is more important and we do whatever it takes to help them xx

Hope you've had a good day Rose :) It's been quite chilly here today too.

Did you manage to get some comps done indie? Hope work went quickly for you! Monday tomorrow, I hate Mondays with a vengeance! :o

Not long before I go to Scotland with DD for gymnastics. I haven't dared to ask work yet for the day off! I presumed I was going to off anyway thinking I would have had op by then! I must ask them tomorrow. Doesn't look like we will get time to see the sights though as it's mainly shows!

hiya  hedgehogs should be out of hibernation
now wingo, bit of info here if it helps,
    http://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/wildlife/inthewild/gardenhedgehogs

    What is hibernation?
Hibernation occurs when the outside temperature drops usually below 8c and the hedgehog’s natural food becomes scarce. Hibernation is the general closing down of the body to preserve energy and fat reserves.
In the UK Hedgehogs typically hibernate during the coldest winter months of November through to March when their natural food source is scarce.
The visiting hedgehogs’ in my garden can stop coming to the feeding station from October sometimes earlier depending upon our autumn weather.
The larger males are inclined to begin hibernation before the females. They build a hibernacula usually under a shed,
    piles of leaves etc.
Their heart rate goes from a steady 90bpm to a 20bpm and the body temperature drops from 35c to 10c.
They feel cold to the touch and the only way to tell if they are still alive is to tickle their spines and they will lift slightly to give protection.
    When is the breeding season?
The breeding season usually begins in May and the golden question is how hedgehogs mate, with great difficulty with all those spines. The courting ritual can go on for hours and hours and often without mating occurring, many of you may have been awoken by very strange noises coming from the undergrowth in the garden. When the time is right the female will lay her spines down and will allow the male to mount her without getting injured. The male and female do not stay together and for this reason the female can be mated a number of times throughout the night.
    ..................................................................................

lol, I sleep with the window open & often hear ours
rummaging around the plant pots eating the slugs & bugs
    they are so cute :D

(((hugs))) Katie & hope your knee will be better in the morning xx

will be one for you :A
