Had a quick look while picking up my S&G box but didn't see any French Connection boxes (May have been me doing a 'man look' tho!) lots of big Ted Baker boxes by the tills tho. Resisted the hair wand, I don't have time to do my hair! Thrilled to bits with my S&G box, the lady said she was surprised they came back into stock online and was surprised that I got it for £18 :)

They're on the end of an aisle away from the rest of the 70% off stuff. Towards the end of the shop where all the posh makeup stands are (near where there's another stack of the hair wands) I missed them totally when I first walked past them, I only noticed them as I was walking out. But then I didn't see the Ted Baker Boxes at all ;)

Didn't even go that far, never mind I would only have been tempted! Looking at the other boots thread the Ted Baker boxes may have been a different offer, I didn't look properly, just glanced and saw sale signs and big boxes!

I don't think thats normal practice though - there must have been over 50 S&G next big thing boxes in one of my local stores on the first day of the 70% sale, and they weren't broken up to put the products on the shelves with the other S&G products to sell at full price (I know because I "cased that joint" several times in the run-up to the sale ;) and the boxes didn't reduce in quantity much at all).

Perhaps they use the stock from the damaged units that get crushed and booted around in the sale stampede? If they aren't able to sell them as is, that may be the only option.

They are employed to make money for Boots and are probably targeted to hit targets on sales , so they are just doing their job.

I'm surprised they'd do anything like that. I used to work in Boots and we used to have shelves full of old unsold gifts that would just sit there in the warehouse for years if they didn't sell or if they were overlooked during the sales, until they were put in some kind of clearance. Very rarely would they bother to break the things down to sell separately - usually because the stock figures would all have to be adjusted and it was more trouble than it was worth!

Now you see, that's the aisle I was in! and I missed all those (did see one woman walk past with a huge champneys set, and wondered where she'd got it from) I was using my 500 points for spending £10 on indulgent bathing. They had a free sanctuary set if you spend £10, so I bought bubble bath, got that free plus the 500 points and then went back in for the 3rd off champneys stuff and paid with points.

What with the stack of dove body wash I got in the sale, no-one has an excuse for not smelling nice in this house for the next 6 months. :D

Hello, I have just received a Snowflake Cookie Yankee Candle large jar from Boots which I bought in the sale, but it's not sealed. Is it supposed to be, does anyone know please?

It's for a gift and I'd rather not give it if it's supposed to be sealed.

    Thanks :)

I buy yankee candles from the official Yankee store in my town, they are not sealed, so you're fine :).

I bought one too and mine isn't sealed either, when you buy them in other shops they aren't ever sealed
