I split with kids dad five years ago, in the first year he didn't pay a penny towards kids, and then he became a taxi driver (and boasted it was so I couldn't prove earnings) and after a few years of him using money as a weapon (if I upset him or wound him up then he would just stop the money) I then resorted to going through the CSA. This was about 18 months ago, and I rang them and the lady said about the CM system. I didn't think that would work because the ex still wouldn't pay and she assured me that I could raise a claim with CSA anytime....I reluctantly agreed and waited a few weeks for claim to get sorted....no news so I rang back just to raise the claim and was told my money would only be backdated to when I raised the CSA claim! So those few weeks I had no money from the ex! Is there anyway of claiming that back because I was misinformed? He only earns pittence a week for all the hours he does ?!?! So I only get £160 a month for two kids!!! Yet he says he can rarely have the kids because he works?!
