Debenhams Sale - already reducing stock

Just been into Debenhams in Borehamwood to pick up a 'Click & Collect' order. When I was wandering around the store, trying to spend my £5 voucher, I saw a blouse I quite fancied. A member of staff was pricing stuff down and said it was going down to half-price. They are already pricing down for Boxing Day.


I bought a lovely padded coat, reduced to half-price. It went through the till at a higher price, but a supervisor adjusted it to the price on the ticket.


Happy bargain hunting.

The online sale starts at 6am tomorrow, instore on Boxing Day.

I wonder if its national policy to hold off until Boxing Day or staff at my local branch will be in a position to exercise discretion? I was after one of the perfume gift sets, but as its a premium line am guessing that 10% off is the best I can hope for.

A lot of the perfume gift sets get reduced by 1/3

And in fact, when I shopped last Thursday they already had some of the sets with reductions already

I think I'm going to stop buying christmas presents - I can't bear to look to see if my daughter's boots are reduced!!

I was just in the Metrocentre store and they are also pricing stuff down. It is still coming up as full price but the staff are automatically reducing it to the marked price. I have saved quite a bit on some last minute pressies for my hubby as they were all now 50% off :j

How strange, they are always completing maintenance tasks when a sale is on, to stop you buying at lower prices. What company completes site maintenance on Xmas eve? How can you complain?
