Afternoon all
At our local ASDA they have self-service tills where you can pay via cash or card. I used these tills yesterday to buy items totalling £4.98 and asked for £50 cashback. Because I was in a bit of daydream - ironically thinking about money, bills, car MOT etc, I stupidly left the till without collecting my £50 cashback!! I thought I would post on here just in case anyone else uses these tills and does the same thing!! I'm not trying to shift the blame to ASDA - it was me that walked off after all, but these tills don't 'bleep' when your cash has been dispensed so I basically just wanted to warn everyone of this. I rang ASDA today when I realised my purse was minus the £50 and unfortunately the money hadn't been handed in so its gone!!
Moral of the tale - always wait for your cash!! The only slight bonus is that I bought a bottle of wine which I am certainly going to down tonight!! Oh and the sun is shining!!

Oh !!!!!!, how absolutely sickening
I walked off and left a tenner behind once in a similar state of mind, but I was lucky and a lady chased after me with it. I bet you never do it again though... Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

i know how you feel, a couple of years ago i was paying money into my bank account and left the card in the machine!!! Wouldn't have been so bad but i hadn't cancelled the transaction so the woman after me helped herself to £200
I got the police involved but never got anywhere with it, just had to be grateful she didn't take more ( my withdrawal limit is £400!)
Needless to say i kicked myself for months and am now obsessed with making sure i get my card back.Life isn't a dress rehersal

I did this once at the till, the till girl forgot to give me my cashback and I forgot about it too. I rang asda and they said if the til was wrong then I could have the money, fortunatley they were wrong ( because they had my money) so I got it back and yes I too have learnt my lesson.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080
