First time buyer...poor credit

Options
Hi again, I will keep this short as I have made a similar thread but have not had a comprehensive answer.

Firstly I'm waiting on the last of my 4 defaults to go...

Default 'drops off' in Jan 2015 then....

A CCJ to 'drop off' in July 2015.

Both have been Satisfied since June 2010.

So once the adverse credit goes, brilliant but

I have up to 5 missed payments on one account but was also settled May 2010.

This is how it looks on Noddle
Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
2010 3 2 1 ok ok(st)
2009 2 2 4 4 5 ok 1 2 3 5 4 4

It also says account was closed on 29th Dec 2009 but it showing activity in early 2010.

I was during that time self employed and could not find work.

I know wish I just received a default in 2009 for they above because it would be 'dropping of soon'.

Instead I have that shambles of an account left.

Me and the Wife plan to buy a house at 90%LTV and have around 10k and will be applying next summer after CCJ 'drops off'. She has a very good credit rating but earns 15k.
I (the failure) earn 27k.

I have literally just read that people with missed payments are still getting rejected. And I know Defaults and CCJ's are really bad but even these missed payments seem to have exact same effect!!

Is a 'notice of correction' worth adding to your credit report?

What effect are Missed payments over 5 years old likely to have?

Has anybody had any luck in obtaining a Mortgage with a High st lender?

Thanks again for any help.

What are the missed payments on? (mortgage, loan, credit card etc).

Dont put a notice of correction on. They get ignored and will always make the credit check system trip up. What might pass or fail will refer and just slows things down.

You will most likely have options now but by waiting you have more chance of high street lenders once the CCJ drops off.

Assuming those late payments are not on a mortgage then you should be fine.

    It was for Car finance.....
Yeah we are waiting. We also plan to get a joined account but don't want to drag her rating down just yet.

Save getting the joint account -its an extra credit check.
