timber built house

Hi
I have found a great house that I have had an offer accepted on. But I am now struggling to find a mortgage. The house was built in the 1950s and is timber built and timber clad. Does anybody have any advice regarding who I can contact? I don't want to lose this house, but also don't want to be foolish and find I can not sell it on if/when the time comes.
Thanks for any help you can give

Getting a mortgage for a timber-frame timber-clad house will not be easy, as you have discovered. Insurance may also be a problem.
Have you looked here.......

I haven't studied it, but they may be able to advise you.
It is the timber cladding that is the main stumbling block.0
