ITV Comp win query

In relation to the above, I would also make it clear that the cheque isn't going to clear for Christmas so ask them to do a bank transfer instead

Not really related but I had a similar thing with a bank enquiry, they said they'd get back to me within 48 hours, they didn't, so after 3 days I called them back and was told it would be within 48 working hours, which was like a week

Hi everyone
Thank you all for your constructive suggestions
I decided not to wait until Monday to contact them.
All my contact has been by phone to the first contact team , who then email the interactive team with the issue, who in turn email the reply back to the first contact team for them to phone me ( complex eh!!)
They had a note of my call on the 17th December which has been passed through but no reply has been received back to them
I made several suggestions to them, such as couldn't they contact the team by phone with my query, but hit a blank wall with them and they said I just had to wait for their reply and" No" I Couldn't speak to them myself.
I requested they send another message today for them to action first thing tomorrow asking for a BACS payment, which they said they would do. I quoted a lot of the things that grannybike suggested and whilst they sympathised I just could not get any further
Off to soothe the aching head with a glass of red wine
Will keep everyone informed and thanks again x0 -
Well, that's good that they will do a BACS payment (whether or not they actually do is another matter).
Still hope for getting it in time for Xmas, good luck0 -
I really hope they come up trumps for you and do you a bank transfer tomorrow! Even Tuesday or Wednesday you could have a last minute splurge for Christmas! You must feel so frustrated. Fingers crossed for good news! xxx0

Hiya, I can remember the exact date I got the call but I think may of been a week or two after your win.
A lady rang and told me id won 15k with tipping point and id get a cheque in the post within 28 days. After a week and a half I was getting abit inpatient so I called the number back that the lady had called on and there was no answer. I started to panic then and thought maybe it was just a hoax so I googled the telephone number a d it did come up with other itv winners who had been called on that number, I then googled my name and it brought up the itv winners page and low and behold my name was listed as a winner! Big sigh of relief! The cheque turned up after about 3 weeks from the initial phone call.
I would be very frustrated if I were you as I have received my cheque and I won after you did. I would start kicking up a fuss as it's not like you haven't been patient, and no one seems to be giving you answers.0 -
Hi there
An update on this sorry saga
I rang AGAIN this morning and got a lady who remembered me and told her I had still not had a call back.
She told me she would speak to her supervisor and call me back AND SHE DID!!!
The cheque has apparently got lost in the post and a new one is being dispatched today, I cant see it being here by tomorrow but am not bothered just very very relieved.
Perhaps my headache will go away now
However if only to help other people I will be emailing ITV pointing out that the Ts and Cs say within 28 days , as do the people who call you but when you phone them it changes to "28 working days , a big difference, and the run around I was given by non materialising call backs
Many, many thanks to all who replied and supported me and gave constructive help, it means a lot
Happy Christmas to you all x0 -
Ahh, so good news and bad news then!! At least you know what's happening now, such a shame that you didn't get your cheque for Christmas but at least a replacement is on the way.
I can't understand why a big organisation like ITV would send out high value cheques in standard mail! You'd think they'd at least send them recorded, if not by bank transfer!0 -
Hi everyone,
Well the cheque arrived yesterday, it was dated 23/12 and came from some ITV offices in Trafford Park, Manchester, posted on 29/12
I took it to pay in today and was told by some young tyke it can take up to 6 days to clear! Will I ever get my new bed!!!!
Opinions please, do you think it would be a good idea/helpful to email ITV to point out the "28 days processing" is changed to 28 working days when you query non arrival
Happy New Year and happy comping to everyone0 -

That should probably be up to 6 working days to clear but at least you have it now.0
