I've been lurking on here for a while now picking up loads of useful tips from all the great people on here. Thought it was about time i said hello!:p
I feel like i can finally see the end and am not too far off been debt free ( apart from mortgage but i'm going to work on that as soon as debt has gone)
This payday was the first in ages that i am actually out of my overdraft
My plan is never to use it again, i've already asked for it to be reduced to £100 and may cancel it next month.
Only debt left now is to my mum, she paid off 2 of my highest interest credit cards for me so now i owe her the money, she's not in any hurry but i would really like to have it paid back by early next year.
Anyway i really wanted to post to say a huge thank you to everyone who posts on here, i am amazed at some of the great advice, without this site i would still be amassing debt.
Thank you
I will try and post a bit more i promise

:hello:
Welcome! You've done so well!
I am envious of your overdraft reduction
- in the nicest possible way of course!
I too hope you don't have to use it again. Well done! I bet your Mum is proud.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Good on yer Joeyjac. Likewise,if it wasn't for some of the advice from Martin & the folk on here my OH & I would still be amassing debt. It will be 58 months before our debts are cleared if we carry on paying the amount we are paying now. However, so far we have been paying a little more towards our debts & have already cut our DFD by 3 months. If it wasn't for the advice on here we would probably have been paying our debts off for the next ten years!Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. PAD(Started 28/12/08) £253.77 £10 a day Feb £110/£280 WEDDING Paid off £1,585.96 Saved Up £925.400

Well its almost the end of the month and i'm not overdrawn

I actually have a bit of money left in the bank so that will be added to the money to pay back my Mum.
I dont think i'm going to totally cancel my overdraft, I think I'll leave it at £100 just to save any charges if i forget about anything. I also cut up all my credit cards when i paid them so until i get sorted out saving i don't have any leeway for an emergency.
Can't wait til payday on Fri, its mine all mine :j
