argos £99.99 for Thomson TUTV PVR

Options
Argos have just cut the price of the Thomson DTI6300-16 PVR from £179.99 to just £99.99

Anyone own this box and care to tell me if this box is worth it?

I'm not interested in Top Up TV but I am very interested in Setanta Sports. I need a box with Twin Tuners, record 2 channels at the same time; I'd go for the Humax 9200-B but it's twice the price of the Thomson. Anyone own a PVR that meets these specs? I know Freeview Playback is in the process of being released and I'm not sure whether to wait or not.

Cheers in advance for any useful comments.

There's a review on The Register which put me right off it:

You can checkout the TUTV forumat DigitalSpy - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=157

You need to de-select all the Topup channels you don't need to get the maximum use of the harddrive. The Argos-supplied boxes can be used as a freestanding PVR -so no subscription needed.
I have the old style Thomson box and love it! The new one has a much bigger hd and has series link in the latest software.
At this price, I'm tempted to let DD take the old one to Uni and upgrade!

I have been seeing articles around about the high standby consumption of older mains powered gadgets - eg my old Freeview box consumes about 20W on or off. While the newest best-in-class mains gadgets can consume as little as 1W in standby. Perhaps I would be happy with 4W. Anyone know what the standby spec is on this Thomson? (I wouldn't be put off by "The Register" review, Digitalspy forum answered every doubt for those who just want a Freeview PVR).
