Getting nervous - pre offer checks

In the process of getting a mortgage with Post Office. All documents sent AIP approved. Get a email from broker to say our mortgage is at the "pre offer stage" no idea what this means or if it's good??? Another restless night I guess.
Such a stressful time is this house moving/buying malarkey.

They need to improve their communication.I am a Mortgage Broker
