I have received a letter saying they need up dated detail, their letter does mention a pension scheme I am associated with.
I have googled, can find their website but am always wary of contacting anyone and giving details away.
Any information would be useful thanks.

So ask the pension scheme if it is anything to do with them?0

They are a tracing company. They are used by a number of pension schemes to track down people who have gone missing but have a pension. It is a requirement for pension schemes to do this.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

The company and the pension are two different things. So, just beacuse the company goes under, doesnt mean the pension goes.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks, yes, I understand that but this pension was agreed and the pension transferred to a large pension company over 10 years ago. This has since been transferred to a SIPP which has been in drawdown for 2 years.
So, I still don't understand if this is a fishing letter or whether contact should be made. Opinion?0 -

It is not a fishing letter. They are a genuine tracing service. They are paid by life or pension company firm to find people. It may not be the pension you think it is.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
