Helloooo
This is a very interesting an helpful post!
I wanted to know about the F&F v Partial and now im clear
they wont put F&F on the credit file...we have to take the 'partial' file entry - right?
Im easy with that; frankly my main concern is to negotiate the smallest repayment possible and move on from all of this
i started at 10% - declined
ive increased it to 16% and theyve offered it to their client...
im sure it will be a NO so now its time to play hardball with them....
i have ACTUALLY contemplated declaring myself bankrupt as i live overseas so i may play that tact
i dont want to pay more than 25% as i just dont have the money...any money i use is borrowed from family...
so any advice i would welcome!0 -

I haven't paid any money to Apex yet so I don't think the call centre guy got a good bonus.Im also dubious they bought debt for a penny in the pound, bought debt for 1% of owed amount......Really? I doubt that.
In answer to your questions the debt is say 2 years old, obviously been in hands of collections for ages months.
Maybe I will re contact and lower my offer, let you know how that goes.

I owe about £25,000 give or take.
The only advice I can pass on that I'm sure of is make sure anything the Banks/Credit Card companies agree to you get in writing BEFOREHAND you give them any money and use the template letters on this and various other sites as they use the correct terminology that stop you being caught out i.e. they accept it as a F&F.
Anyone else interested
I will update when I've got it all down to what I'm happy with to be able to pay.
Help needed on this little question please.
Does you Credit History Good or Bad follow you to say Italy or Spain if you decide to move there.I know for example in France it is actually illegal to have an unauthorised over draught there.A good thing in my mind as that's quite often the slippery slope to more charges and loans and debt e.t.c.
So what I'm saying is you can't just up sticks and jet off abroad and start with a clean, fresh, shiny new credit rating?Surely not?0
