The 50p Savers Thread for 2015

Options
Hello and welcome to the challenge :)

Cannot believe 2014 is almost over, gone by so quickly for me. Lots of changes, new jobs and perspectives. On the whole looking back it has been good. Hope it has for you too XX

Well, the reason why we are here is to make our money go further -either on the debt or towards saving for something. This year due to stricter budgeting I saved 70 quid in my sealed pot but 20 pounds of that was in 50ps!

All challengers - old and new are welcome, I shall copy the old list over from 2014 as many people joined towards the end.

The only rule is

1. Any 50p pieces must be collected and saved in a jar/money box/old sock etc. (or even paid into a bank if you are a bit strange ;) )

The Challenge will run from 15/12/14 :) to 15/12/15 although Savers can join at any point during the year!

The Purple Troll is still in residence and waiting for the first 50p so let the challenge begin :)

Please can I join, I did this last year as the 3 litre vodka bottle my hubster uses does not fit 50p's or £2 coins.. So last year I bought a metal money tin and it fitted them in perfectly. I save £175 in that alone, so I will be doing it again this year.

    Thanks Tracy
  • Can I join too please.

No target in mind and this will be on top of the other challenges - Jam jar at the ready!

  • Thanks for the new thread and number Buffy.

I have 50p in my pot already but never seem to get many for some reason so will be interesting to see how many I can actually save over a year. I don't have a target but will just keep chucking any in and see where we are when it's counted up :)

  • Could I join in please? Have never done the 50p savers challenge before and not sure how many I will save so I think I will not set a target.
