Waitrose Wine

There are some good offers about at Waitrose for win, especially if you have a MyWaitrose card, which gets you an extra 10%.

You get an extra 5% off if you buy 6 or more bottles and you buy from a shop. The 5% for 6+ does not apply to online purchases. I have checked this.

A couple of examples:

I bought some Torres Vina Esmeralda, reduced by 20% from £8.49 to £6.79, then down to £6.11 with the myWaitrose 10%, then down to £5.80 for buying 6+ bottles.

Oyster Bay Sauvignon, down to £6.65 with the 10% MyWaitrose, down to £6.32 for 6+.

That Esmeralda is great.

I'm shocked Esmerelda is now £8.50 a bottle. It's not worth that money.
  • With all the £10 off £40 vouchers they have sent me, I have been relieving them of dozens of their £4.49 red for around £2.80 a bottle hic
    Blessed are the vegetarians.
  • Tesco have 20% off a range of wines if you buy 3 or more bottles. Maybe not so good on its own, bit some of the wines in the range are already discounted, so you get this 20% on top.

This Rioja Crianza is down from £8-->£5, buy 3 and you get it for £4.

Similarly, this fizz should be £5.60.

Both look cheap, I am going to try them.

Brought 2 bottles of the duval leroy champagne last weekend on offer at £19.99 also got the 10% off with waitrose card and also used the £10 off £40 shop and also got the saturday times for free.

So two bottles for around £26. One of my favourite champagnes as well.

    Great stuff.
    Keep right on :T
  • I was not asking about Wine Cellar.

You don't get the 10% MyWaitrose discount on Wine Cellar online purchases.

You don't get the 5% case discount on wine bought from the online supermarket, only the Wine Cellar.

It is often cheaper to not buy through Wine Cellar.

If you try to get Quidco cashback for Waitrose Cellar, now, you'll be told that there is nothing available. In recent experience, it had been necessary to go to the main Waitrose page at Quidco, then scroll down to see a separate link for Cellar. Now, there is no link...

Nevertheless, if you click through from the Waitrose Quidco page to the actual Waitrose page, then follow their own internal link to Cellar, your cashback may still track - mine just did so again, at 6% - nice! - on top of all the usual discount.

This is the site I come to in order to pay a tiny bit more for very considerably better quality wines, as opposed to Tesco, where you can pay considerably less for acceptable quality wines!

I also discovered that my last order had attracted a promotional 15% cashback rate from Halifax Bank, as I'd used my Halifax Mastercard and activated a one-off cashback deal intended for Waitrose grocery orders!

Regular cashback amounts are of course smaller than this, currently 5% I think.

    Stack those discounts!
