can anybody please point me in right direction for gingerbread men and the rhyme that goes with it about been a perfect man. i would like to bake some. i have looked on here and cannot find it now

I recommend the waitrose gingerbread recipe, here:

It's very forgiving pf tweaks, different sugar, honey instead of golden syrup etc.etc.
