nationwide mortgage with underwriters

Hi all.... any advice will be appreciated.
My DIP was £280000 but offer atm is only £230000
SO my mortgage advisor has asked for the case to reviewed by the underwriters. .... she is not happy with such a low figure!!! As we need atleast £275000 to move on!

Why would the offer be so much lower than DIP?

Also can underwriters take into account future events?
Eg currently my youngest is in nursery then childcare.... I think this is the issue... but in january my mother in law is moving in with us and she will be taking care of my daughter until September when she goes full time like my 2 other children? Therefore I will no longer pay any. ...
We really need to get nationwide to lend more closer to DIP!

Also hmrc have made an error on the amount of childcare i spend i said 220 but on hmrc paperwork 320per week. they accept wrong doing as stupidly i didnt check... but even going by their figure affordibility calculator still says £271000
Thanks
