tomtom 500.......USA & Canada Maps

Hi All,

I have the tomtom 500 model from about 2 yrs ago and am off on my travels across the big pond pretty soon. I want to take it with me to use on my hols and therefore want the USA and Canada maps for this model.

I have looked on the tomtom site and they want £50. If this is the cheapest that there is, then I will go for that but I just thought I would ask all of you helpful lot if you know it is cheaper anywhere else or whether there is other software which may be compatible with this make and model.

I have a tomtom 510 - Where is the best place to get updated maps - also is there anyway of viewing the maps before i buy - theres a few roads up here missing on my current maps - i'm not buying he updated maps unless the new roads have been added
