click and collect is a winner!

Many stores use standard courier services to run their click and collect so that won't always be a winner as it will get stuck in the same backlog.
  • my hermes delivery woman came yesterday at 18.30 saying she started at 7am and had reloaded 4 times and still had a car full. she said it was too much. amazon logistics guy the other day said he didnt leave warehouse until 11am due to volume of sorting. said no parcels were going to neighbours as he didnt have time.

how do these companies not plan ahead!

i have never had a problem with collecting parcels they seem to get priority and have been better than trusting a hacked off driver. amazon didnt deliver a parcel a few weeks back because he could get access to door as it was outside business hours??? i live in a ground floor flat....hidious he could not be bothered to try! xx

because they all undercut each other and are desperate to get big contracts such as amazon/m&s etc.
if you want a good service you have to pay for it i.e. UPS
next year will be the same news that the same companies cant cope because of huge amount ordered online,
when you order online and it offers free delivery or £1.99 ask yourself who will be delivering at that price......answer HERMES OR YODEL
