Findmypast One year sub for £10 - legalities

I was told of an offer on Findmypast, a family history site. A year's subscription for £10 so off I went to get myself a bargain. I put in the code and up popped the offer - one year for £10. Everything went through, got the email confirmation and my subscription was amended to show the new expiry date.
It seems it was a mistake and they have refunded my money.
I pointed out to them that their T&Cs state
"A contract between us begins when we send you a confirmation email, after receiving your order and accepting your payment or voucher code"
My stance is that we have a binding contract and they had no right to refund my money without me asking for it. They are saying that because they never advertised that offer they are entitled to cancel it. Are they?
The original offer, which I never saw was on the Federation of Family History Society's site and was for £1 for a months sub. Obviously these offers circulate by word of mouth and by the time I heard it, it had changed to the one year for £10 and of course FMPs website allowed that once the code had been entered. FMP are talking about the T&Cs of this offer blah blah but surely my contract is with FMP whose site accepted my purchase, and not FFHS.
Any useful advice gratefully received - ta.
