This site offers far too much but has anyone joined it. You get discounts on all sorts of produce and petrol etc. It does ask for credit card details etc through Paypal.
This trial period gives you access to MintyShop Premium service for 72h, starting from the moment of account activation ("The trial period"). In order to enjoy the trial period, you must provide valid payment details on the website payment page. At the end of the 72h trial period your means of payment will be automatically debited for your subscription period at the current price in your country, unless you cancel your registration on the website or by contacting us. MintyShop is edited by e-Promotion Ltd Level 3, Alexander House, 35 Cybercity, Ebene, Mauritius. The company e-Promotion Limited (Suite 3, 2nd floor, icom house, 1/5 irish town, Gibraltar) is authorized under license to distribute the MintyShop service. For more information please read the Terms and Conditions.
So you get really cheap offers of about £35 for £2 but it gives you just a few hours or less to decide. But does this work.

Hi! I paid £2.00 for the petrol/fuel rebate and received £35.00 via credit card. I did take the precaution of requesting a Paypal payment from them. The receipt was for exactly £35.00
At the same time I paid £2.00 for the grocery cash back and shortly afterwards sent a Tesco home delivery receipt. I got an email back which read:-
"Mintyshop replied: Hello, Kindly be informed that you have claim cashback for the respective offer. Please be advise to make another offer purchase for your cashback request. We wish you a nice day.
Best Regards"
Does anyone have a clue what it means?0 -
This Minty Shop website is run by a company based in both Mauritius and Gibraltar i.e. OFF-SHORE (see below, taken from Terms & Conditions section of their website). So, you send them money by debit/credit card or whatever and it's most unlikely you'll ever get it back. AND they'll have your card details!!
AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

Thank you Keithyno.1 for your reply. Alas my question was too late, MintyShop having already helped themselves to £198.00 from my credit card account:mad:
My bank has suggested I contact Minty and request my money back after which, if I don't get any, they will take some kind of action. presumably a chargeback but it could take a good few weeks. Closing my account doesn't seem to be the answer either. Seems they'd still have to pay out anything that was claimed.
I'm not normally so gullible, but relied on having heard about Minty from a reliable source.0
