Well we had another even of The Payday game after chops, sundaes, cheese and biscuits - washed up 6 times already. Plus wine, sparkling water and some aniseed drink not Pernod - crisps and chocs.
Eldest child went off to bed early, youngest managed it past midnight - not staying power the Kids of today! Cats have now gone up as has OH - I am washing up yet again
Sent message to eldest son but he must be in bed as well
Still have silver bows to put on presents in the morning, hopefully everyone will stay in bed and it will be a slow start on the morning
Have a good and peaceful Christmas everyone :T“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Luckily I have nothing to put together.
Mr TS has been surprisingly calm today.
Just wondering if I would get away with doing an "Artha" but not sure I would wake up before the morning. :rotfl:
Just wanted to say FC what a fantastic thing to do for your cleaner, you are one of life's absolute :A.
What she did for me was much more fantastic :A
I came in for a bit of an unexpected slating recently from a school gate mum  for employing someone from Eastern Europe. totally unprovoked and quite shocking actually( I was accused of depriving local people of jobs) The lady in question is a very proud woman who had a bit of a scumbag for a husband who left her alone with 2 young kids. She works for me and another family I know. She claims no benefits. She struggles but very rarely accepts help. She's hard working, never complains and is incredibly kind.
I often offer her glitchy things I have but she always insists on paying at least what I have paid for them. I wanted to help her move from the truly awful place she was renting to somewhere more fitting for her kids. She flatly refused to accept free help. She did accept an interest free loan that is paid out of her wages every month and now lives in a much nicer place. I'd be lost without her and I've also made a very good friend :A
I know it's a controversial subject but some of the people that come here really are doing so for a better life. I have mixed views on it but I wouldnt swap her for anything. She's priceless to me0 -
