Went the sorting office to pick up my letter that had insufficient postage on and it was not from who I thought it would be;)but had to pay £1 handling fee +20p as they had not put large letter stamp on but the ironic thing was as she handed it too me I noticed Frankie had not hit stampie so not a complete disaster and it was a beautiful expensive card:T

Whilst I was out popped into the Charity shop and hit the jackpot;)a beautiful brand new pair of Nine West brown leather knee high boots for £19 looked on line and they are £160 ....result

:j:j Well done on the boots. :j:j

    Evening all,

I've joined the "running the risk last minute Christmas turkey shopper brigade" (rtrlmctsb for short:rotfl:), does anyone have any ideas on when the reduced turkeys will hit the shelves in A or T ?

How many peeps are in the rtrlmctsb this year ?

    Should we start a list:o

Not sure I could be brave enough to risk not getting a turkey:eek:But DDLala and I usually venture out :xmastree:Eve and see what's about and last year both got a little beauty for peanuts;) and put them in the freezer for Easter:easter_os
  • Well that's it, my life in the next 36 hours can not deviate from the lists

I've even had to put "eat" on them cos otherwise I'd forget :rotfl:

I know what you mean, I was having my baking day on Saturday and was really hungry for dinner, counted the plates I hadn't had chance to wash up and yep, forgot lunch

Me! In my defense, I did look at them today when I was in the shops, but couldn't bring myself to buy one :rotfl:

What I would do is get a nice chicken as a standby and then try for a last minute turkey, but OH won't let me, had to get it in plenty of time and pay full price :eek: Admittedly at Lidl but still full price:(

Just been to Mr T and had a sneak peek at the fresh turkeys - there were loads which I hope means loads reduced tomorrow :) If not I have another nice piece of beef coming tonight and will keep it on standby just in case!
