I'm just back from the relative's house that we are now minding over Christmas:(:rotfl:. And they don't listen to me, they complain they spend too much money on their shopping and they never check their receipts. I saw a few receipts they had piled up on the shelf, so I've taken the details and I've checked them!
First one was cheaper in Waitrose. Second one - they bought some £11.49:eek: condoms. Look, you know they are not 10% cheaper on many items but merely same price, so that that might be £1.15 added. They bought two packs - £2.24 maybe (why would you ever not check the receipt?), let's hope the rest isn't really bad. Ah, I see now - 2 for £15:(, and turn out to be non-comp. anyway so that shop was "Great" (bad) news.
The third one - do not copy this as it is historical information. This shop is from 4th December, and they even managed to get a glitch that I couldn't even get even with all my effort trying:mad::laugh:. That shop was cheaper in Morries. This does show that glitches remain in the system and are still retrievable weeks later, depending on the date when you shopped. (I assume this is either the last information held on that date - or at the time of their shop, in any event 4.15pm, would then be the post-midday information.)
Vs Morries (of all places)
2 x Heinz Classic Vegetable Soup (400g)£1.50£1.20
1 x Heinz Classic Cream of Chicken & Mushroom Soup (40...£0.75£0.60
1 x Heinz Classic Chicken Noodle Soup (400g)£0.75£0.60
1 x Heinz Classic Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup (400g)£0.75£0.60
Normally it's the other way around - yes, they managed to find ones that, back on 4th December, were picking up the M mbuy and managed to get the A prices showing at full price. 5 for £3 mbuy on receipt. First time I've seen the M mbuy appearing as well:wall:. Still would have worked out at 35p:eek: each.
Sadly they bought the version of Bisto that isn't comparable against M:
1 x Bisto Roast Lamb Dinner (400g)£2.00N/A
Unfortunately despite the glitch they lost money back due to this:
1 x Warburtons Toastie Thick Sliced White Bread (800g)£1.00£1.45:(
I'll tell them the 'good news' (nothing is "great" for me, merely "good", I'm not much of a superlative person). Presumably regarding the two receipts that didn't return with "Great news!".0 -
Well I have had a fantastic time, went off to London early yesterday morning and got back this evening.
I didn't buy myself a single thing but absolutely loved seeing the Christmas lights, Regent St, Oxford Street and Trafalgar. Got cheap coach tickets there and back which meant also got fantastic view of Albert bridge all lit up tonight. I was just like a little kid.
Hotel was a groupon deal. Not too bad city centre for one night. :money:0 -

Regarding !!!!!! PP, can you buy any 10 different items (I know bag reuse doesn't count) or do some not show up and give you a <10 items result ?#CHEEKY :cool:0

Gross subject of the day - the yellow eye drops that I mentioned my son had at the hospital this morning? They made their way out of his nose in the form of luminous yellow snot this afternoon! :rotfl: . Noticed it in the waiting room at the orthodontist, was a little surprising!

Wow! That is a good one!:T:T:T It's going straight onto the list!:T (Sorry Northern Ireland:laugh:.) I'd be buying as many as I could fit into the freezer if - I hadn't already filled my freezer today with useless stuff and - if I didn't dislike Mr T so much that I refuse to shop there:wall::wall:. I think we may have until Thursday on this one, unless the system is changed beforehand. Watch - as T watch this thread. I'll put them onto Tvs M - they could of course end at any time. EDIT: Do we think we need to buy two to get the 40p price? On the assumption that buying one is okay, and it is an assumption, I'll put it onto Tvs M as M at 20p. Which they obviously are:rotfl:.0 -
Just caught up with you all after another busy day. Hugs to everyone that needs them, seems a few are needed today.
Have been over to neighbours for drinks, which included home made sloe gin, which has left a funny metallic taste in my mouth lol. Now swooning over the gorgeous Patrick Swayze on channel 5. Taken way too soon
DH took this earlier0 -
