Good evening, this is me reporting on our local Tesco tasting session. In all fairness it was the first time they had done it so no massive goody bags as such but we did have one. It was in a hessian bag that they were giving out free a while ago. In it there were pamphlets, a full size sparkling nail varnish , some small Dead Sea spa magic spa samples and a lip gloss but no food lol.

I d give it 8 out of 10. We were waiting 10 minutes before we followed them up into a part of the Decks restaurant. The spread I'd give 10 out of 10 it was all laid out very nice but no seats. Was awkward holding a plate, bag, drink and try and get some of the food onto the plate lol.

There was a table with beauty things on it and Dawn and I ended up buying one of the Advent Calendars full of make up etc which were half price at £25 but one of the nail varnishes in there were £14 each apparently.

They had a small selection of chocs eg boxes of Irish whisky truffles , big gold coins , after 8 s etc in a corner and a girl said we could choose one if we give some feedback so we did wink wink. I knew most of them with Darren and Lee working there lol.

Think I would go again if there's one next year. Susie reporting over and out :D

Glad you enjoyed your evening I did not find one near me :(

Out tasting evening was a bit of a let down compared to last year :(

While we were waiting for ages at CS, a woman came up and asked the bloke if she could go straight up. He asked her her name as he picked up the list and she said she wasn't on the list, and then disappeared.

We got up there and you couldn't move for people. You couldn't get to the food at all :( then, there on our left was said woman from earlier, sat down with her husband, plates piled high with food  they had the poor staff running around like headless chickens after them :o

Then they went back for seconds :rotfl: plates piled just as high as before

Misery Guts got fed up and left :rotfl:

The goody bags were pretty rubbish too, a box of mince pies and a single serving christmas pudding, plus probably every single leaflet and magazine they've done for Christmas

Don't think I'll bother next year

    Thanks for the new thread.

I have one of these daughters. Had a great conversation at dinner tonight. DS said do I have to go to the Xmas concert next week that DD is in. I asked DD what she was doing in the concert. She didn't know anything about the concert, or which songs she is singing.:rotfl: I have told her she needs to find out what she is doing, she will probably tell me the night before and by then all the tickets would have been sold.

Sounds like the concerts I have to go to.
Got one on Saturday and if it's anything like last year It was 3 hours long and DD sang in the last 5 minutes.
I don't know much about the school one next week or if we need tickets. Would be a good excuse for me not to go if I haven't got one :D

  • Been to my tasting night, a lot quieter than last year, they said they were doing the 4 sessions with less people so they had time to talk to the customers, we got wine & juice that you could have lots of refills. hot and cold food to sample you could refill your plate and they were coming round with some as well . We were in the staff canteen so were able to sit. no goodie bags but you got a choice of pack of mince pies, individual pudding, or a little pack of traybake.
