Think yourself lucky you arnt a man, manflu is 4 times as bad!!

    You are very right.

I almost recovered from man flu, but am now on version 2. I don't think I am going to survive this one. Tempted to call an ambulance, this sore throat is killing me! (not really going to call an ambulance by the way!)

Need some of the wonderful Elite Spirit and some help please.

Trying to track down a couple of dad's friends as we can't find his address book.
Never know someone here might know them.

First is Graham Greaves. Lived in Bedford and attended the Bedford Modern School leaving around 1950. He married Jean who worked at ARA at the time. They had 2 children Nicole and Andrew who would now be mid to late 40. I remember them living Buckinghamshire way in the late
    70. I know Dad gets cards ect and they were still in contact. Only other thing I know is Graham had a sister who stayed in Bedford.

The other friend is more of a wild card. Mick Gadsden. I think he also went to the modern school. He married and moved away to Hampton Court area and he worked for National Westminster Bank. He had on daughter who's name I do not remember.

Really hoping dad's address book turns up . I have searched fb but no joy.

If any of the Elite think they might know anything that might help please get in touch by PM. Dad had a birthday card from Graham and Jean but we can't reply.

Home again. Visited dad at tea time. He was asleep but when I gave him a kiss and told him I was going he gave me a lovely big smile. Word of the day is peaceful.

    The awkward squad
Name them as you have a dig every time Flo turns up and examples would be good

Is she ever chased off with sticks
I don't think so I understand she had hassle way back whenever from someone on here but since then I don't think so

whilst vocal, they do not represent the majority
I only read 1 post and that was from nerfy tongue in cheek and what do the majority think have you had a poll

I reckon because of this post people started saying I will not read back because of trouble/rubbish etc

This post has been bugging me all day

Well it's off your chest now :p I must admit I hadn't seen this. Not been able to keep up lately.
I have no idea what's gone on today and am not going back to find out. But the thought that there is an 'awkward squad' on here :( I agree.....it seems harsh.

But what do I know except what's the point of going over the same old ground over and over again? All that stuff happened so long ago I'm sure the adults concerned have had time enough to either get over it or find somewhere else to post if they can't. Life is too short for the same old petty squabbles.

Have you tried posting this on FB and asking people to share? I'm not always a great FB fan at times but getting information spread far and wide is where it comes into its own

Judging by the dog's output of carbon dibaxide, it's clearly time for me to take him out into the bitter cold for a proctological perambulation where he can do "his business".
