Tesco Clubcard Pizza Express voucher codes - can i give these as a gift?

Hi I have just changed some of my Tesco Clubcard points into Pizza Express voucher codes to give to my son as a gift (i live in Edinburgh & he lives in London) but on printing these i see that it says "non transferable"!
Does anyone know whether in practice Pizza Express will ask for a club card or check whether these are his vouchers? Let me know what you think.

I have never been asked to show my Clubcard when using these but I suppose there is always a first time. However I dont think there is anything on them about showing your card as I may well have not had it on me at the time unless previosuly instructed."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
