  • I had a Northern Rock Together Mortgage in 2005 but our unsecured loan part was for £15,000. Can anyone point me in the direction of the last ruling? I didn't know anything about it till i read the news about the 25k one.
    Thanks
  • Hi

Wondered if anyone knows the answer

I had an unsecured loan and part of the NRAM together that I took out for 19.5k in 2007. This is now delinked as I moved mortgage provider. I have already received redress on this, am I correct in thinking there may be further refund due for the period 2007/2008 on this?

Previously I had a together mortgage in 2003-2006 (completed) with an unsecured element of 23.5k. Would I be affected as it's under 25k? Is the ruling for both under and over 25k for that time period? Regardless I have moved house so I guess I should make contact so they have my current details for that particular loan.

LennonC1- I have been trying to find the action group. There's a note saying the fb group closed and the link posted there doesnt work. Can you assist please?

  • Just wondering what it means if the mortgage has been paid off? I sold my flat at a massive loss & it left me with 10k mortgage + 11k unsecured loan left to pay over the length of the mortgage at a very high interest rate. I've since taken out another loan to pay off the nram loan as it's over a shorter term with lower interest). Will I still be eligible (if this all goes ahead) as it says in the news item that the 6k rebate will be paid out as a shorter term on the mortgage?
  • Great news for the 29.8 million taxpayers who will have to foot the bill, I don't think.

I am also a tax payer so if i get a bit back then so be it
  • Just seen this! ive had my mortgage for around ten years with a £13,000 loan attached. Im not sure if its a together loan or not, will have to dig out the paper work. My property is ojnly worth what i bought it for so ive been stuck with northern rock until i get some equity to pay off the loan. Hoping this is the light at the end of the tunnel!

I'm a tax payer. Can I have some money too please? Or don't I qualify because I bothered to save up a deposit before buying my home?

I'm a tax payer too (just as, I'm sure, most posters are). I'm delighted that some of the victims of this Northern Rock fiasco are to get some redress.

My anger is reserved for those who caused this, profited from it and seem to have got away with it: former Northern Rock executives and those charged with overseeing the financial system that they manipulated.
  • Like a lot of people, I too also had the "Together" mortgage with the unsecured loan..i fall between the 25k-30k, and to read that those in this bracket are possibly entitled to something back would be great.

Does anyone know when we a are likely to know more?

    Thanks
